The Arnold Food Pantry’s very own Vernon Sullivan was recently honored with the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Senior Service Award, for his long-standing volunteer efforts throughout the community. Sullivan, long time member of the pantry’s Board of Directors, was one of ten individuals selected throughout the state among hundreds of candidates. Representative Dan Shaul who nominated Sullivan, spoke at length as to Sullivan’s many community initiatives. Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe was on hand to deliver the commendation and listed Sullivan’s contributions to veteran causes, including acting as a liaison to the City of Arnold’s Veteran Commission, establishing the annual Veteran’s Parade, and working to have the City of Arnold as an official POW-MIA City. Congratulations Vernon for a well-deserved recognition!
